In the spring and summertime, we are always looking to try new margarita variations. Campari is a favorite aperitif of ours, so we weren’t surprised when it made a tasty addition to one of our favorite tequila-based cocktails. We mixed this up over Memorial Day weekend, a holiday where a bright red drink just works.
While Campari is known as a bitter, it also carries notes of sweet cherry and orange. This pairs well with the Cointreau that offers a crisp, smooth and sweet orange flavor. We finish shake these ingredients up with tart, refreshing lime juice and our favorite blanco tequila for mixing, Espolon.
If you’re in the mood for a spicier margarita, you can try our herbal margarita with jalapeño, cucumber and cilantro.
