Boulevardier is a classic cocktail whose distant cousins include the Negroni and Old Pal. It’s a delectable, boozy mix of herbal and sweet vermouth with bitter, full-bodied Campari. The secret for us when it comes to such spirit-forward drinks is the use of quality ingredients.
We prefer using a rye-forward (versus equal parts) combination of ingredients that includes Carpano Antica vermouth and Rittenhouse Rye or Old Overholt Rye.
- 1.5 oz rye
- .75 oz Campari
- .75 oz Sweet Vermouth
- Pour the rye, Campari and vermouth into a mixing glass filled with ice
- Stir well for at least 30 seconds and strain into a chilled coupe
- Express orange peel over drink and place garnish into drink
